The Djégou Nagot’s women decided to group together in order to start a market garden and to produce cassava powder (called gari in local language). The village ‘s preacher help and lend them a field. The AJEDD association give advices on seeds and vegetable cropping without pesticide.
The means were absurdly low and small equipment was necessary such as : wheelbarrows, rakes, basins, machetes, saws, watering can, pots…..
This self-sufficient step must continue. To facilitate the women’ group labour, we will see and think with them and AJEDD (local CBO) in order to decide a more important project.
