JUNE 2014 KENYA ground visit
On the roads again! to meet our colleagues and local responsibles in Kenya in Amboseli region. The mount Kilimandjaro is hiden behind clouds at the beginning of the rainy season.
We paid a visit to the French Embassy to inform the Service of Cooperation and Cultural Action – Humanitarian Action Service, about our different projects in Kenya. We joined Kimana our « basis camp ».
I am accompanied by Jean-Pierre Delsol, co-responsible of our ORMITI environmental project in Kenya. It’s a real pleasure for him to be back in this country where he worked as technical counselor and head of the french remote sensing team, during five years, at the Department of Resources Surveys and Remote Sensing (DRSRS) some years ago.
JP worked on maps at the scale of 1/50.000 to delineate the different components of the project (lion’s fence, springs, etc.)
Jane :
We saw Jane at the end of may very well blooming and happy to show us her school and her work. It’s a real pleasure to see a good atmosphere as well very conscientious in this small school. Mechanical courses are also delivered and we hope to get the possibility to offer, each year, other training.
I give a goat project:
This project is a succes in the 3 communities .
Riza school:
We buy some tables and benches for the small nursery school of Riza.
ORMITI Project:
